Five new couples emerged at the start of Love is blind Season 4 and the Netflix dating show have never been so messy.
The five-episode premiere, which dropped on Friday, featured plenty of drama that made everything from Season 3 seem minor in comparison. Take Micah and Kwame, who made the leap before their relationship came to an amazing end – although it seems the bond between them is still there.
The premiere also brought new conflict outside of pod dates, with several cast members trying to undermine each other.
With Seattle-based season 4, new episodes bring together hopeful singles who “have signed up for a less conventional approach to modern dating,” according to the official synopsis, “and will choose someone to marry without ever meet”.
“For several weeks, newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the pods. When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors keep them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?
Episodes 6-8 will air on March 31, followed by Episodes 9-11 on April 7 and Episode 12 on April 14.

These two hit it off immediately. They shared a lot in common, including the end of a long-term relationship ten years ago.
When Tiffany fell asleep during one of their dates, Brett felt a little hurt but attributed it to a little moment they could laugh about later. He proposed, and they become the first engaged couple this season. The couple stayed on the same page when all the couples finally met in Episode 4.

Micah had a strong bond with Kwame from the start. Kwame was so sure of Micah that he asked if he could propose to her sooner, and Micah felt they were moving too fast. During her date with Paul, they both decided to move forward together. She broke up with Kwame and Paul ended things with Amber, who took their breakup hard.
As Amber cried, Irina listened to her and laughed with Micah. Let’s just say these two have some serious Mean Girls energy.

Chelsea and Kwame

Chelsea were determined to get Kwame from the start. Kwame, after being dropped, focused on chasing her and expressed her joy at how into him she was. They bonded and wrote a song together before Kwame proposed.
In Episode 4, Kwame was impressed with Micah when he first met her. They talked about how happy they were in their respective relationships, and Micah offered to listen to them if he needed to talk.
The swimming pool incident: Chelsea asked Kwame to bring her chips and guacamole, and he agreed. Immediately after that, Irina asked him if he could get her shots of tequila and Micah. When he told her to get it herself, she called it salty. Micah then called them out to take pictures for a failed proposal. Kwame pulled her aside to chat, and that’s when Micah got defensive, saying she would never be mean and was only trying to be funny. She even summoned the aqueducts, and he calmed down. They hugged and Chelsea was hurt by their flirtatious interaction.

Irina and Zack

In the pods, Zack was torn between Irina and Bliss. When he found out the two women weren’t getting along, he wanted to work things out between them. However, he didn’t see Irina ask Bliss for a candle from the birthday cupcakes she baked for her – Irina forgot her birthday – and then use their pod date to do damage control and position herself above Bliss. before her date with him. Zack even admitted that he thought Irina was a bit vicious, but ultimately chose her anyway.
When they first met after the proposal, Irina asked Zack why he had a blank stare and called his eyes “creepy.”
At the resort, Zack noticed that she was less affectionate than she was in the pods, believing she was trying to push him away. Irina reassured him that she cared about him. In Episode 4, Irina confided in Micah that Zack gave her the sting when he touched her. She hinted that she wasn’t really into him like she was to Micah’s fiancé, Paul.

Marshall and Jackie

These two bonded growing up with strict parents. They got closer and Jackie revealed she was still talking to Josh, who said he would leave if he couldn’t have her and had a stomach ache every time Marshall talked about her. Marshall felt offended by Josh for not saying something to his face, and angry at Jackie because she seemed to be emotionally invested in another guy.
After their tense date, Jackie cried to a friend, and Irina and Micah poked fun at her emotional state.
On their next date, Jackie revealed that she had stopped seeing Josh and Marshall proposed. They were thrilled to finally meet in person and looked happy hanging out with the other couples.
In Episode 4, Jackie had another breakdown, telling Marshall that trouble from home was happening to her. He supported her, however, and assured her that she would not return to her situation alone.
