THE blue beetle the trailer is finally here! Subscribers got their first preview Cobra Kai star Xolo Mariduena transforming into the titular superhero ahead of the DC Studios film’s August 18 release. 21-year-old Xolo plays Jamie Reyes, a teenager who gains superpowers from an alien beetle. “I feel like he loves me,” Jamie says in the beetle trailer, before he attaches himself to the teenager and transforms him into the Blue Beetle with an epic costume. Jamie flies through space but he almost falls to his death.
Jamie learns that the beetle is “a form of world-destroying weapon”, as he tries to deal with his superpowers. He uses his powers to cut a bus in half! A villainous character portrayed by the Oscar-winning actor Susan Sarandon tells Jamie “the beetle chose you, but he’s mine.” Another person said to Jamie “the love you feel for your loved ones makes you weak.
Jamie’s uncle, played by the comedy icon george lopez, gives Jamie some recommendations. “The universe has sent you a gift, and it’s important to figure out what you’re going to do with it.” Jamie creates a sword out of her epic swimsuit and declares “social gathering”.
In addition to playing in blue beetle East Bruna Marquezine like Penny, Jamie’s love curiosity, and Belissa Escobedo as Milagros, Jamie’s younger sister. George Lopez takes advantage of Rudy, Jamie’s uncle, while Susan Sarandon takes advantage of a girl named Victoria Kord.
Xolo Mariduena completely crushes it as a superhero within the blue beetle trailer. The talented actor is best known for playing Miguel Diaz in Cobra Kai. He is the main Latin actor to lead a DC superhero movie. Xolo shared his emotions on becoming a member of the DC Universe and enjoying Blue Beetle on the Cobra Kai Season 5 pink carpet premiere in September 2022. “Excited shouldn’t be the first sentence that gets on my mind,” Xolo told Selection. “It’s nervous pleasure, it’s nervousness. It’s the anticipation of realizing you’re preparing for something big, but it still feels very intimate since you’re only with the cast and crew,” he added. Xolo was officially solid as Jamie Reyes / Blue Beetle in August 2021, having been a director Angel Manuel Sotois the number one alternative for function.
blue beetle would be the third DC movie released this year, after Shazam: Fury of the Gods!which came out in March, and the flashwhich is set to launch on June 16th. Will probably be adopted by Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomscheduled to launch on December 25. james gunn stated that this model of Blue Beetle will exist in its rebooted model of the DC Universe.
