The 2023 CMT Music Awards took place in Austin, Texas on April 2, 2023. The event was hosted by Kelsea Ballerini And Kane Brown, with the best music videos of the year being honoured. Of course, in addition to the awards, there was also plenty of buzz about the performances throughout the night.
Topping the list of nominations this year was Lainey Wilsonwho got four total nods. jelly roll received the top prize tonight before the red carpet show. In the meantime, Shania Twain is recognized with a special honour, the CMT Equal Play Award. The award is given to an artist who helps “elevate diverse and underrepresented artists in country music.” The winners of each category of the CMT Awards are listed in BOLD below.
