Reese WitherspoonDivorce just got a whole lot more interesting — as you may have heard!
If you haven’t heard, the hot new rumor is the cruel intentions the star is not dating anyone other than NFL Super star Tom Brady! We have no idea if that’s true or what will happen to the mating, but WOW! They’re not just a spicy power couple because they’re both so famous – they’re also INCREDIBLY wealthy, and that would mark a wild fusion of a marriage… Don’t get us ahead! I’m just saying! LOLz!
But before Reese can go 80 for Brady, she still has to wrap things up with Jim Toth. The estranged couple would rather separate amicably, but it’s still a LOT of money to share! What are we talking about, you ask me?

Of course, Reese has had her share of Hollywood hits and been well paid to do so. And it would have sequels to both Election And Revenge of a Blonde in the books! Even on the small screen, she made a fortune – she would be paid $ 2 million per episode for The morning showmatching co-star rate Jennifer Aniston. It’s good to be married to an agent! LOLz! (Obvi Toth was never technically her agent, but he works at AACwhere it is transplanted, so…)
But we’re actually talking about his business acumen. First, she founded a successful clothing line The Clothier James, her grandparents’ maiden name and middle name, respectively. And then she has her production company, Hello Sunshine. After producing hits like missing girl, she decides to co-found her own production company. She has made successful bets on both female-led projects she is and is not committed to – including big little lies, Small fires everywhere, Where the Crawdads singand more recently Daisy Jones and the Six. This also includes his furniture business, The House Edit. In 2021, she sold a majority stake in the company, and it was then valued at $900 MILLION. She was paid – but continues to make a profit as she still owns 18%. She’s also been on a killing spree in real estate, selling multiple homes for a big profit in 2020 and 2022.
Forbes estimated in 2022 that Reese’s net worth was $430 million, making her the richest actress in the world. They also ranked her as the 65th highest autodidact! All of a sudden!
What makes everything a little more awkward about the divorce is the fact that she and Jim worked so closely together on it all! He was a founding board member of Draper James and Hello Sunshine. What are they going to do with all this??
Well, according to a source speaking to People, the exes “still plan to work together in various capacities, as they have in the past.” Wow. It only works if they get along well. But the source says they are – and while the divorce is the right move, they’re also upset about it:
“It’s so hard for both of them. There’s no drama. These decisions are so hard when there’s so much friendship and love out there.
The insider said the pair have been “spending less time together” lately, mostly because of Reese’s schedule. You see, in 2019 Jim quit his job at CAA after 23 years of incredible success representing stars like Robert Downey Jr. And Scarlett Johansson to manage content and talent acquisition for a streaming service. Unfortunately, this streaming service was Quibi. If you don’t remember Quibi, that’s kind of the point. In short, they spent a lot of money doing basically Youtube videos intended for viewing on phones. It closed less than a year after its launch. It wasn’t pretty. Considering we’ve also heard that Jim has been going through something of a “midlife crisis” for the past couple of years, it makes sense that this all follows this decision.
The question is, how far on the heels? When did they really start to separate? Business decisions tell a story if you know how to read it…
family law attorney Marilyn Chinitz spoke to People on the clever steps the couple took to split their money. She says they “must be applauded for the way they handled their divorce” as they “made their case incredibly simple” to split assets:
“[They] seem to have done the smart financial decoupling thing, and it’s just to sell everything and create cash, so it’s easy to split the money.
It’s true… she sold. She sold houses, she sold Hello Sunshine… Has Reese been working on this divorce behind the scenes for over TWO YEARS now?? Hmm. She really is a smart businesswoman!
If so, the idea that she’s already moved on with Tom Brady wouldn’t seem so shocking. She may have been secretly single for a while! Wow!
