The job search slows painfully for Amy Robach and TJ Holmes. The former news anchors reportedly presented a talk show to other networks after being fired by ABC News in January.
Trouble started for Robach and Holmes when they went public with their workplace romance in November 2022 — while still married to their spouses.
They were fired by ABC on January 27. Both walked away with payments from their remaining contracts.
Robach and Holmes are said to be “desperate” to return in front of television cameras.
According New York Postall networks avoided the radioactive couple.
CBS Media Ventures refused a talk show proposal from the couple.
CNN also turned down a Holmes & Robach talk show presented by their talent agency, CAA, according to a report.
Insiders say Holmes and Robach are too risky. Holmes’ history of sleeping with female colleagues is particularly troublesome for network attorneys.
“If they were doing a talk show, what would they be talking about? What is their expertise – infidelity? said a skeptical TV pundit. “They would take anything. I think they would host a game show at this point.
Holmes and Robach, seen here running the New York Half Marathon on Sunday, also approached Fox Entertainment and Fox Television Stations for a syndicated show. They are even considering doing a reality TV series if all else fails.
