The 61-year-old comedian has been using her pronouns since 2020 and has now revealed she’s going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard, having wanted the name since she was 10.

Speaking during a recording of Matt Forde’s ‘Political Party’ podcast, she said: “I’m Eddie. There’s another name I’m going to add as well, which is Suzy, who I’ve wanted to be since I was a kid. was 10 years old.

“I’m going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard. This is how I’m going to ride so people can choose what they want, they can’t be wrong, they can’t be wrong.”

Eddie is keen on breaking into politics and she has vowed to “keep going until I get in there”.

The star tried to be a parliamentary candidate for Labor in Sheffield Central last year, but was unsuccessful.

However, she is always eager to try again.

She added: “I would still like to be the MP for Sheffield, anywhere in the North, if there is a North/South divide – I want to fight for the North.”

In 2020, Eddie – who has previously spoken about being gender fluid – revealed on the TV show ‘Portrait Artist of the Year’, on which she sat as a model, that she “now wants to be based in fashion daughter”, and admitted to using the pronouns feels “very positive”.
