A very royal reunion!
According to new reports, the The Spice Girls are about to reunite in concert to King Charles IIIthis is the crowning glory! Yes… ALL FIVE! Classy too!
Through The sunthe girl group will take the stage all together for the first time since 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony as part of a three-day celebration for the new monarch starting Saturday, May 6. And yes, Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Buntonand Geri Halliwell will be ALL Be there! OH MY GOD!!!
Although it may seem like a random occurrence for the women, they actually have a special connection to the new king. The aspirant The performers have met Charles several times during their career, most notably in 1997 when Mel B and Geri left him a kiss on the cheek! It is therefore normal that they make an appearance at the historic event! A royal insider told the outlet on Saturday:
“Royal organizers are very keen to secure Britain’s biggest girl group and the Spice Girls are seriously considering returning to the stage as five musicians for such a historic event. Certainly the reality is that the crowning glory is as special as the Olympics – a unique celebration and a unique performance.There is a general feeling that a reunion could happen for something so important.
Some of the girls were eager to make it happen, they added:
“Mel B and Mel C are the ringleaders of the group, trying to make it happen.”
And get this – Mel B actually teased a reunion last week while talking to HEY. She says:
“I can’t tell you exactly, but there’s going to be something announced very soon.”
She also insisted that it’s “the five” performers and they’re very “excited” about it. Oh ! It really sounds like she was talking about that royal news, don’t you think? !
As Perezcious readers know, the Spice Girls topped the charts from 1994 to 2000, when they broke up to work on solo projects. In 2019, most singers came together for the Spiceworld Reunion Tour, but Posh Spice decided not to focus on her fashion career. At the time, Scary Spice seemed just as upset with Vic’s decision as the rest of us, telling hello america:
“We are all adults, we all have to manage with respect. But it’s a bit disappointing, let’s put it that way.
Last week, Sporty Spice spoke about their disappointment that the Spice Girls couldn’t perform at Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee, recounting the Daily To express:
“You know what, we would have liked to be there but it was just one of those situations where it was impossible. With us girls there are so many things we would like to do, but there are four, five people dealing with families and other commitments and responsibilities. So I think that was something we had to miss. We weren’t happy that we had to miss it, but yeah, sometimes things just don’t work out .
While it’s a little surprising to see the girls getting together for the royal festivities, it makes sense that the fashionista would say yes this time around! Her husband David Beckham is a true royalist who waited almost 14 hours (!!!) to pay his respects to the Queen after her death in September. Maybe her love for the monarchy convinced Victoria to take part in this coronation concert? ! Whatever the reason, we’re dreading seeing the Spice Girls in action again!! Are you?!
