What happens when you have a classic car and a part is damaged? You get a replacement, just like Jay Leno did following the November 2022 car fire which left him with “severe” third-degree burns to his face and head. “It’s a whole new ear,” said Jay, 72 Dana Carvey And David Pique on the March 29 episode of fly on the wall podcast. “When you get burned in a fire, the ears are like paper. Jay also spoke about the accident in January when he was knocked off his motorcycle after running into a wire that someone snagged a lot without a warning flag/marker. “I had a broken collarbone, I had two broken ribs and I had two cracked kneecaps because I got a clothesline on my motorcycle,” he told comedy peers . Jay joked that he was “a 72 year old guy and an 83 year old motorcycle. What could go wrong?”
In fact, it was the accident in November that resulted in Jay’s final trip to the hospital. While riding the classic motorcycle, he noticed that it was leaking gasoline. “I said, ‘…I don’t want to catch fire. Let me turn around. I turned around in a parking lot, and the guy had a wire across a parking lot but no flag. And the sun was there. And boom, it just hit me. It cut my face again. So I called my face guy. Jay was dealing with a clogged fuel line on his 1907 white steam car when a leak resulted in the old Tonight’s show the host is doused with gasoline on the hands and face. “When you work with cars, you have a lot of accidents.
