Since strict lockdown policies were lifted, concert culture has evolved. Sabrina Carpenter learned it during one of her last tour stops. The “Nonsense” singer is currently on the road promoting her latest album, Emails I Can’t Send, and fans are pouring out their emotions in more than one way.
As the tracks transitioned, a front-row viewer held up her phone with a note on the screen, trying to get Carpenter’s attention. Her plan worked and as the musician approached she asked the fan, “What is this? Is this your phone number? The concert performer then clarified that the number actually belonged to a guy she was dating, to which the singer urged, “Don’t text him!”
But Carpenter’s advice comes a bit too late. The fan then went into detail about their relationship in what looked like a live therapy session that the sold-out crowd was to witness. The viewer recounted how the gentleman put her on when she wanted to take things up a notch. She said he was “trying to find himself” before admitting it happened months ago and she was still in touch with him. Carpenter seemed to offer good support.
After the clip was shared on social media, people were also entertained by the hilarious yet heartbreaking story.
