Jada Pinkett Smith, Chris Rock Live Show:
According to a source, Jada Pinkett Smith had no involvement in Smith and Rock’s dispute, and Chris has been obsessed with her for 30 years.
In 2016, Jada started a movement by raising the issue of color discrimination at the Oscars. Why there are fewer black members and more white members.
In support of black actors, she fueled the movement, which was accompanied by the hashtag “#OscarsSoWhite”. Also, Will Smith was eliminated from the Best Actor competition for his outstanding performance in Concussion, which is when Jada told Chris he should stop attending the Oscars. Rock addressed this during his stand-up special by mentioning that since Will wasn’t nominated for a concussion, “I shouldn’t be hosting for him”, “but he has the right to give me a concussion” .
The source’s counterclaim is that Jada never asked Chris to host the Oscars. At the time, she said in a Facebook post that Chris would make a fantastic Oscars host and was ideal for the job.
But Chris seems to be going in the wrong direction as he mentioned that Jada deserves to be laughed at considering she was the one who started it all and her husband, Will Smith, reacted.
“I made a few jokes about her. Who gives a fuck? It’s like this: she starts, I finish it,” Rock said. “That’s what happened. Nobody picking on that bitch. She started this s—. Nobody picking on her.”
Sources say they were surprised how many times Chris used the term female dog in reference to Jada. Which was marked as a sign of lack of professionalism.
But despite all of this, Jada Pinkett Smith has no part to play in the feud that has erupted between Rock and her husband, Will. As she is more focused on her book, which will be launched by the end of this year.
