donald trump gave a grand speech to all of his supporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night. Well, wait… all of his supporters?
In his first speech since impeachment, the former POTUS responded to his arrest with less vitriol than expected – we assume he hid to that end with his Social truth posts. To a group of followers gathered in the ballroom of his Palm Beach resort, Trump bragged about the great man he was — and the great family he had, saying:
“I’ve built a great business with my family, a fantastic business…I have a son here who’s done a great job and I have another son here who’s done a great job. And Tiffany and Ivanka. And Barron will be great one day. He’s tall, he’s tall and he’s smart… But I have a great family and they’ve done a fantastic job and we really appreciate that. They’ve been through hell.”

Most of Trump’s family members were in the front row: Eric Trump and his wife Laura, Donald Trump Jr. and his bride – FoxNews host Kimberly Guilfoyle, Tiffany Trump and her husband.

But two members of the fam were notably absent. Donald mentioned his daughter Ivanka Trump, but she wasn’t there. In fact, she hasn’t been there to support dad in a while. Remember, she wasn’t at her official 2024 announcement either! And when he was finally charged, his statement was…well, diplomatic, shall we say. Or at least she didn’t join her other sycophantic followers in calling it an all-caps WITCH HUNT.
The other member, of course? Melanie Trump. She was notably not by his side as he pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from his silent payment to the adult film star he believed to be early in their marriage. But heck, it was all the way to New York! She lives in Palm Beach now, baby! It would have been a hassle and a half! So of course she was there to greet him when he came home, right? And held his hand on stage? Stood in the crowd and cheered?
Yeah, not so much. But hey, it was all the way…down. OK, yeah, that doesn’t sound great.
Where was she? Well it could just be her doesn’t support Donald in all of this. After all, she was breastfeeding the a great day baby Barron when her husband was off plowing a porn star that time. The thing he allegedly tried to cover up just before the 2016 election. And a source who knows her from her new home in Florida said People last month she was NOT on top of everything. They claimed “she does not sympathize with Donald’s plight”:
“She stays mad and doesn’t want to hear [the alleged hush money payment] mention.”
So maybe have to be in a room full of people – and Marjorie Taylor Greene And Matt Gaetz — while talking about the one Trump scandal in particular that she still holds a grudge against? Maybe she just didn’t want to.
Melania, notably, has not released an official statement about her husband’s indictment. But to ignore it is to assert yourself in your own way. And this statement is not one of support. I’m just saying.
