Friday, LaTocha Scott tearfully apologized to his sister, Tamika ScottAnd xscape members in a live video.
LaTocha and her husband/manager Rocky bivens, were accused of stealing $30,000 from Tamika’s royalty checks. Rocky justified the theft by saying that his wife is the lead singer of Xscape and deserved the lion’s share of the royalties.
In the video, LaTocha tearfully apologized for the sibling rivalry and pleaded with her sister to stop airing their dirty laundry in public.
“Anyway, Tamika, we can work it out,” LaTocha said in tears.
“It’s not nothing that we have to perpetuate and keep moving and making people feel good. It’s us. We sisters. We could never talk about anything, ever. I want my family back.
LaTocha continued:
“I apologize, Tamika, if I didn’t hear you. If I didn’t hear your voice. I’m sorry. I do my best to make it happen. I try to weather the storms in my own personal life. I’m not trying to deny how you all feel; I always have to have inner peace…but when you all see me like this, I’m in my feelings and I’m in my feelings when it comes to my family.
LaTocha claimed that Tamika never discussed the missing $30,000 until the cameras started rolling for their television series, “Queens of R&B” on Cheers.
It also emerged that Tamika was the one who accused member Xscape Kandi Burrus to sleep with their mentor Jermaine Dupri and his dad, Michael Mauldin.
However, LaTocha said Tamika was a habitual liar.
We all know this drama is a promotion for their Bravo series “SWV & Xscape: the queens of R&B” which premiered on March 5, 2023.
The ratings aren’t exactly blockbuster for a new reality TV series.
According American TVDB, SWV & Xscape: the queens of R&B was watched by 498,000 viewers on March 26, 2023. That’s an 8% jump from the previous week, but only a 1.6% increase from the series premiere on March 5.
Queens of R&B is currently the 4th most popular show on Bravo and 290th overall on television.
That means their antics don’t work to attract viewers. They will need to increase the drama to increase their grades and avoid cancellation.
