Former President Donald Trump faces 34 counts for falsifying business documents, Trump responds

donald trump will be arrested on Tuesday and charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records. According to a source familiar with the matter, a NYPD arrest report summarizing the charges will be prepared and entered into the court system before Trump is formally brought to trial.

While neither charge is a misdemeanor, Trump will not be handcuffed, jailed or subject to a photo ID, as determined by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

The charges against Trump were upgraded to Class E felonies, which carry a maximum prison term of four years, due to the alleged intent to conceal an underlying crime.

The exact nature of this crime remains unclear, but it is believed to be linked to the payment of $130,000 in secret money to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 to cover up an extramarital affair.
