Lindsey Graham has been called many things over her 30+ year long political career. “The gift that keeps on giving” is new. But that’s what morning joe host – and former Republican congressman – Joe Scarborough officially dubbed the South Carolina senator, following his televangelist performance on Fox News.
On Wednesday night, just hours after it was announced that a New York grand jury had decided to indict Donald Trump over his silent payment to Stormy Daniels, Graham became an emotional wreck on live television while speaking with Sean Hannity . And Scarborough loved every second of it.

“To the Conservatives: be sure to vote,” Graham – who appeared to have tears in his eyes – said directly to the camera. “If you have friends, make sure they vote. If you don’t have friends, go make friends. But you have to help this man, Donald J. Trump. They try to empty it. He spent more money on lawyers than most people spend on campaigns.
Scarborough, meanwhile, was about to spit coffee out his nose as he watched Graham’s pleas. Especially since the morning joe The team linked the clip to an earlier rant by Graham from Jan. 6, 2021, in which the senator asked the world to “count me out” on Trump, saying “enough is enough.”
“Lindsey is the gift that keeps on giving,” Scarborough said, through her own tears (of laughter). “It’s Oral Roberts in his tower saying, ‘Give me $3 million or the Lord will take me home. “”
“I’ve known Lindsey for a long time,” Scarborough continued. “I remember someone said, ‘You know, I love Lindsey. But I wouldn’t let him keep the Pentagon. Because he switches sides so quickly, you never know which side he’s going to be on. Someone said that in 1996. It never changed! Lindsey is the same as he was then. He just sort of [goes] wherever the breeze goes.
Scarborough co-host Willie Geist angered himself when he suggested: “I think I could be wrong, maybe there was something else going on. Allergies? I think he had tears in his eyes when he made that passionate and moving plea – for money, after all.
Friday at noon, Graham was still #TeamTrump – but who knows what tomorrow will bring.
On his way to the prosecutor’s office on Tuesday, Trump is expected to smash windows, rob a few stores and hit a cop.
