Late Night Hosts Celebrate Donald Trump’s Indictment With Ice Cream!

Thursday evening, the former American president donald trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on more than thirty counts related to commercial fraud.

It is the first time in US history that a US president – current or former – has faced criminal charges. The indictment is under seal; however, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office investigated his silent payment to adult film storm Stormy Daniels.

On his Truth Social platform, the former POTUS was furious at his indictment. In multiple statements, shared by CNN, Trump claimed the indictment was “the highest level of political persecution and election interference in history.”

“I believe this witch hunt will backfire overwhelmingly on Joe Biden,” Trump said. “The American people realize exactly what the radical left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it. So our Movement and our Party – united and strong – will first defeat Alvin Bragg, then we will defeat Joe Biden, and we will throw every one of those crooked Democrats out of power so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! ”

Although some were surprised and taken aback by the indictment, many late-night hosts took a moment to celebrate the occasion. Host of “The Late Show” Stephane Colbert even brought out ice cream to celebrate the event.

Stephen Colbert celebrates Donald Trump’s indictment with ice cream

Colbert opened his show by saying he felt a little “extra American” while celebrating baseball’s opening day.

Even though it was still a chilly 40 degrees in New York, Colbert said he still had a good reason to celebrate and eat ice cream in a baseball helmet because “three minutes before I’m going out on that stage here, the New York Times reported that a New York jury voted to indict former President Donald J. Trump.

The news was greeted with cheers from the audience. Colbert then picked up an overturned baseball cap filled with ice cream and a large dollop of whipped cream and sprinkles. Before digging it up, he picked up the box of whipped cream and squirted it straight into his mouth to a standing ovation from the audience.

“It’s true,” continued Colbert. “He’s right. We’re finally saying Merry Christmas again. Colbert admitted he didn’t know this day would come one day before admitting, ‘I didn’t know it would be this good.’

Jimmy Kimmel thought this day would never come!

Host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” jimmy kimmel also marked the occasion by taking the stage and clutching an American flag.

In the caption, he wrote, “A day many of us thought would never come!”

Like Colbert, Kimmel admitted he only found out about Donald Trump’s indictment about two minutes before he took the stage. During his opening monologue, which can be seen above, Kimmel made several jokes about the former president, such as saying that Donald J. Trump’s “J” now stands for “Jail.”

“He’s going to be read his rights to Miranda. Wait until he finds out that all this time he had a right to be quiet,” Kimmel joked. He later suggested new alternate reality series for Trump, including “The Celebrity Apprehentice,” “Arrested Developer,” and “The Biggest Loser.”

Jimmy Fallon has created an “I’m So Indicted” parody for Trump!

“The Tonight Show” featuring jimmy fallon also created one of the funniest parody videos of the night.

They posted a mix of Trump singing “I’m So Indicted,” which is a parody of the Pointer Sisters hit song from the 1980s.

Seth Meyers had already recorded his show before the news broke!

Unfortunately for the host Seth Meyers, he just missed the mark. The ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ tweeted, “We live in crazy times, don’t we?” with a photo of Seth Meyers staring into the camera. “TFW They’re indicting Trump right after you taped your show,” the text read.
