Magic Johnson could soon add the title of NFL owner to his legacy … the NBA icon is part of a group that has just submitted an offer to buy the Washington Commanders that meets Dan Snyderthis is the asking price.
ESPN adam schefter reported the Lakers Hall of Famer, alongside the 76ers owner Josh Harris and billionaire Mitchell Ralesofficially submitted a $6 billion offer to buy the franchise on Tuesday.
The development is substantial… as Snyder – who revealed in late 2022 that he was explore the sale the Commanders – reportedly seeking $6 billion for his club…which could mean a sale to the Johnson/Harris/Rales Group is now imminent.
This decision would be bad news for Jeff Bezos And Jay Z … because the two titans had a great interest in buy the commanders, even have dinner in Los Angeles in November to formulate a potential purchase plan.

Others interested in buying the Washington franchise have reportedly included a Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopoulos and owner of the Houston Rockets Tilman Fertitta.
If the Commanders sell… the $6 billion deal would shatter the previous record sale for an NFL franchise established last summer, when the billionaire Rob Walton bought the Denver Broncos for $4.65 billion.
As for Johnson, that would add to a very impressive resume that already includes stints with the LA Dodgers, LA Sparks and Los Angeles Football Club.
