“Actually, I have news for you,” she said as the character. “You are hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. How exciting!

“Wow, I’m so honored to have been cast, especially in this year when the show is all about the fans,” Drew said as she became herself again, before Ghostface and Cocaine Bear joined her on set. .

“It’s going to be an epic night. Great moments. Great movie stars. Cocaine Bear are you free on May 7th?

“The 2023 MTV Movie and TV Awards, we will be there. Are you going?’

If that’s what Drew pulled out of the bag just for the announcement, we can’t wait to see what she has in store at the party.

The Hollywood icon has a history with the awards, having been nominated nine times and winning three trophies.

In addition to Best Kissable Gong for her efforts in The Wedding Singer, she also won Best On-Screen Team for Charlie’s Angels, alongside Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.

In 2020, she landed the Dynamic Duo award thanks to her partnership with Adam Sandler.

Last year, all eyes were on Jennifer Lopez as she won the Generation Award, to celebrate her incredible career so far.

The Marry Me actress broke down on stage during an emotional speech, where she thanked those close to her – and those who told her she would never make it.

“You’re only as good as the people you work with,” she told the star-studded audience. “If you’re lucky, they make you better. And I was very lucky in that regard. As an actress, I’m none of the women I’ve played, but there’s something that’s deeply true to me in each of these characters.

“I have a different kind of thank you list tonight. I want to thank all the people who gave me this life. I want to thank the people who gave me joy and those who broke my heart.

“Those who were true and those who lied to me. I want to thank true love. And I want to thank the way I lied to myself, because that’s how I knew I had to grow up.

“I want to thank disappointment and failure for teaching me to be strong and my children for teaching me to love.

“I want to thank everyone who told me to my face, or when I wasn’t in the room, that I couldn’t do this. I really don’t think I could have done it without you. And I know I couldn’t have done it without the fans.
