Bruno Tonioli has set the record straight on his apparent ‘feud’ with Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on Britain’s Got Talent.
The 67-year-old Strictly alum, who replaces David Walliams, made his debut as a BGT judge this week as auditions got under way in London.
However, reports suggest OG judges Amanda and Alesha were furious that Bruno joined the panel.
BGT Amanda and Alesha ‘fulminate’ over Bruno Tonioli
Earlier this week it was claimed that Amanda and Alesha were fuming that Bruno would earn more than their £850,000 salary.
Apparently, the two even made a pact to quit the show – hours before filming for the new series began.
A source told The Sun: “Alesha and Amanda have understandably been deeply upset by reports that Bruno was signed up for more money than them.
“Together they have nearly three decades of experience and are the backbone of BGT.”
Then, to make matters even more awkward, in the first batch of auditions this week, things got a little heated in the judging panel.
Bruno Tonioli ‘told to master it’ by other BGT judges
The Sun reports that Alesha repeatedly told Bruno to sit down, then allegedly pushed him back into his seat.
As Strictly fans know, Bruno often gets up from his seat when he makes comments.
According to the publication, Alesha and Amanda Holden criticized him for being too hard on contestants and pressing his golden buzzer before an act was over.
The Sun claims they told Bruno his comment that a choir “didn’t mix well” was unfair.
Bruno reportedly told the audience at the London Palladium that he had “so much fun” but was “reprimanded”.
BGT Bruno talks about the “feud” between Amanda and Alesha
However, now Bruno has broken his silence on his apparent feud with Amanda and Alesha.
Speaking to The Sun, he said their relationship was “awesome”.
Asked about the apparent pay fallout between him, Amanda and Alesha, Bruno said: ‘It’s very vulgar to talk about money. But I’m definitely not getting what was claimed.
“I don’t know what the girls get. But if they get more now than good for them, they deserve it all.
“There is no coldness with the girls, of course not. Who is freezing? We laughed a lot. It’s working with a group of friends.
The dancer went on to explain how he knew Alesha from his time at Mis-Teeq in the early 2000s.
As for Amanda, Bruno noted how they met at a “little party” for Simon’s 50th birthday party.
