South African viewers of I’m A Celebrity furious after the elimination of two stars

Fans of I’m A Celebrity were furious tonight (April 28) as two fellow campers left the South African spin-off show.

Hosts Ant and Dec had gone into the jungle last night to reveal Shaun Ryder, Phil Tuffnell and Andy Whyment would all face the challenge of deciding who stays and who leaves camp for good.

On top of that, the trio all had to choose a campmate to team up with to complete the challenge. So who stayed and who left? Read on and we’ll tell you…

I’m A Celebrity: Two stars quit South Africa spin-off show

It was the end of the road for two of our returning stars tonight.

After the trial, which saw Toff and Phil Tufnell and Andy and Jordan Banjo take on Shaun and Gillian McKeith, it was revealed that Shaun and Gillian would be going home.

And it’s safe to say that viewers were less than impressed.

Taking to Twitter, one said: “She didn’t even try.” Another added:[Bleep] for love, Shaun leaves because of Gillian. A third commented: “I’m really not [bleep]happy now! Another added: “Gillian completely screwed up for Shaun.”

Meanwhile, others thanked Shaun for ‘taking one for the team’ and getting rid of Gillian early on. “Shaun took one for the team and for everyone watching I’m a celebrity. Thank you Shaun. Another added: “Shaun became a knight for his duty to humanity by bringing her off the screen .”

Even before the double elimination, it was a busy – and tense – night in camp. The smuggling row rumbled as camp mates found out if they would get their 10-star dinner.

Fatima was perhaps the most harmed by the breaking of the rules. She spoke out in the camp and said the incident deserved punishment. “Whether we like it or not, we’re all in this together,” she said.

Additionally, she added, “This should not go unpunished. It’s not about the individuals, it’s about the rules that are broken. I am a person of principle and I want to be true to myself.
