Tyrese held in contempt, must pay $636,000 for child support and his ex’s lawyer

The judge Tyrese publicly called out before his child custody hearing ordered him to pay his ex-wife nearly $250,000 and his attorney nearly $400,000!

The actor/singer was in Fulton County Court on Tuesday to deal with his ongoing child support battle Samantha Lee Gibson – the main problem being Tyrese refusing to pay the $10,000/month he was receiving condemned to pay last August, because he felt the judge was “racist” and biased against him.

Also, as he said on the stand today, Tyrese feels the $10,000 is excessive – he claims Samantha doesn’t need that much because she makes a lot of money by herself- even.

Before today’s hearing, Tyrese ripped the judge Kevin Farmer in a video appealing to people like a civil rights lawyer Ben Crump And Martin Luther King III appear in court to support him in his fight against the judge. They weren’t there.

Inside court, the judge hit back at Tyrese for his failure to cough up the money he was ordered to pay and found him in contempt of court. He could have been arrested, but the judge gave him a break… well, aside from the huge sums he has to pay now.

Tyrese was ordered to pay a total of $237,944 in child support for their daughter Soraya and $399,000 for Samantha’s attorney fees. He also has to pay a $17,000 bill for the special master…a referee, of sorts, appointed by the judge to handle minor disputes during the case.

You will recall that Tyrese incurred the wrath of Judge Farmer at the hearing last summer and was almost despised at the time – so perhaps it is not so shocking that today’s proceedings have been so trying.
