Jason Ritter and wife Melanie Lynskey have such a powerful love story.
The 43 year old man parenting the actor and the 45-year-old man yellow jackets the actress made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
During the appearance, Jason talk about dating Melanieand why he felt he didn’t deserve her at first.

“I knew how amazing it was Melanie was at the start. It’s not as cute as the story as you’d like to think — it was messy and interesting and weird,” he said.
“But in the mix were alcoholism issues. So there was a lot about us,” he admitted with tears in his eyes.
“At one point I knew how amazing she was and I thought she would be amazing for someone who basically deserved her, and I didn’t feel like I was that person. I felt a little too crazy. So it wasn’t until after, maybe a year after not drinking, that I started going, oh, maybe I can promise someone else some things. Maybe I can be that person.
“I knew she was amazing. It worked on me enough to feel like maybe I could be the right one for her too,” he added.
“It looked so tough. He did so much work on himself. I’m so proud of him,” Melanie said, as Drew reacted emotionally to their story.
“Like, even though mistakes were made along the way, you had such a good heart. And also, he was always so willing like, every time I said, ‘I really need to talk to you about something. thing,” he said, “What is it? What is it?’ Like, so present, wanting to have the conversation and so ready to take responsibility. And we just kept growing,” Melanie added.
“We were in couples therapy three weeks after we met. Now we’re like, ‘Should we go back to therapy?’ Like, probably. But that’s how we start working.
