Zach Braff says therapy saved his life.
“I’ve been in intermittent therapy all my life,” the 47-year-old actor exclusively told Page Six this week during a screening of Apple+’s new “Shrinking” series at The Paley Center for Media.
“It has definitely changed my life and helped me through some really tough times when I had to face tough times.”
The show, which stars Jason Segel, follows a shrink who begins to break the rules by telling his patients exactly what he’s thinking. The comedy series was co-created by Segel, “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein and television producer Bill Lawrence, who also produced “Scrubs.”
“I think that’s one of the wonderful things about this show,” added Braff, who directed episodes of the new show, “it’s kind of a PR campaign for the whole industry It shows how it can help people’s lives.
Following the Broadway entertainer’s passing, Braff shared a moving message on social media.
Braff even got a tattoo of Cordero dancing in a suit and hat, reminiscent of his costume for the 2014 Broadway musical “Bullets over Broadway” in which they both starred.
“It was very difficult for me,” the actor shared of Cordero’s passing. “And I couldn’t have done it without friends and therapy and family and everything this show is about.”
Also present at the screening were show stars Jason Segel, Michael Urie, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller and Brett Goldstein.
