To goal ? Shawn Mendes apparently donned a necklace that includes Sabrina Carpenter birthstone in the middle of the assumption that the 2 are a commodity.
The “Stitches” singer, 24, raised his eyebrows on Sunday, March 12, when he was spotted wearing a green pendant while attending the Honest Vanity Oscars Afterparty. (While they walked the purple carpet individually, Carpenter, 23, also attended the event.)
THE lady meets the world alum’s birthday lands in May, which makes his birthstone an emerald. Mendes’ necklace, however – which is apparently by David Yurman – appears to be made of malachite. Regardless of the variations, the 2 rocks are almost equivalent in color.
After Sunday’s purple carpet, eagle-eyed fans noticed later that Mendes has been wearing and off the pendant since January — a month before he and the “Nonsense” singer sparked romance rumors.
The couple were first noticed together last month when they were pictured strolling together in Los Angeles. In a photograph obtained by We Weekly at the time, musicians could very well be seen smiling and fascinating in deep conversations as they tuned in stride.
Earlier this month, the two were pictured together again as they walked out of the Gucci store in Beverly Hills, where Miley Cyrus organized the celebration of his new album, Infinite summer time travelThursday, March 9. Mendes stood in the doorway with a drink in his hand as Carpenter walked carefully behind him.
Each the “In My Blood” crooner and the work it actress have their own star-studded courtesy stories. Mendes was previously linked to Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) in 2017 before entering a critical relationship with Camila Cabellowho he dated from 2019 to 2021.
After more than two years in the spotlight together, the duo announced via Instagram that they’ve called it quits.

Carpenter, for her part, made headlines in 2020 for her relationship with Joshua Basset and is at the heart of a highly publicized love triangle with the Excessive College Musical: The Musical: The Sequence star, 22, and his ex-girlfriend – and costar – Olivia Rodrigue. After the 20-year-old ‘Drivers License’ singer dropped her debut album Bitterfans began to theorize that most of the breakup leads were about her split from Bassett and her new relationship with Carpenter.
In December 2021, the “Lie Lie Lie” artist confirmed that he and Carpenter knew he was quitting when he declared himself single during an interview with QG. “I think that’s one thing that was good about that last little bit: I’m good on my own,” he said at the time.
When Carpenter released his fifth studio album, Emails that I cannot sendin July 2022, fans speculated that she was addressing her split from Bassett in songs like “Because I Preferred a Boy”.
