On his radio show, “The Daily Cannon”, Nick Cannon was asked about his previous marriage to Mariah Carey by co-host Courtney Bee Bledsoe, who suggested the TV host “groped” Carey, prompting her to defend herself. Cannon shared that Carey may have been responsible for their split as well.
Cannon and Carey started dating in 2008 and got married the same year. However, their marriage ended in 2014 after two children together.

During a recent episode of his radio show, “The Daily Cannon,” Nick Cannon was confronted by his co-host Courtney Bee Bledsoe about his previous marriage to Mariah Carey. Bledsoe commented on the rapper’s failed marriage, saying, “I mean, you groped Mariah.”
That statement prompted the San Diego, Calif. native to demand an explanation, saying, “Have I? Explain to me how I groped Mariah.
Although Bledsoe said she was only joking, she pointed out that Cannon and Carey were no longer together, implying that their separation was due to Cannon’s actions. In response, the “Masked Singer” host defended himself and shot back, “Maybe she groped me,” to which Bledsoe commented, “You didn’t write Always Be My Baby , so it’s a little different,” referencing Carey’s 1996 hit song.

Cannon and the “Vision of Love” singer began their romantic journey in 2008 after the artist appeared in Carey’s “Bye Bye” music video. Last month, Cannon expressed his admiration for Carey in an interview with The shadow room. The TV host praised Carey, calling him “the coolest person [he’s] already met.” He also talked about the backlash he gets from Carey fans whenever he comments on their past relationship, saying, “I mean, I always talk about this; then it goes viral, and all his fans get mad at me.
Cannon shared that his infatuation with Carey started when he was just a teenager and had pictures of her on his wall. “I was 12 with pictures of Mariah Carey on my wall, and she became my wife,” the comedian explained. “And the fact that she’s the coolest person I’ve ever met. She’s just always happy, always doing for others,” he added.
Cannon also marveled at the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer’s exceptional qualities that make her seem almost otherworldly, saying, “No matter what’s going on in the life. I’m like, ‘Wow, a person can function like that and not allow negative energy to enter their space.’ When I learned how remarkable she was, I thought the woman was not human. She is a gift from God.

In February 2022, a source said American weekly that Carey held no resentment towards her ex-husband and was “happy” for her growing family, despite any past drama.
At the time, the source revealed that “Mariah and Nick are great co-parents and have a great relationship.” [and] friendship now. They are well placed and support each other no matter what.
According to the insider, Carey’s main concern was the well-being of their twins; as long as they remained an essential part of Nick’s life, she was content.
“As long as Roc and Roe are still an integral part of Nick’s life, which they are, and he gives them the same attention, that’s what she only cares about. They spend a lot of time with Nick, and he seems to balance time well with all the kids,” the insider shared.
