A little after Simone Biles shared her wedding news, hair-obsessed critics entered the conversation. They gave no energy to celebrate the black love between Biles and her husband jonathan owens– instead of choosing to focus on the “sweaty” edges of Biles.
On Monday, Simone clapped back at the ongoing conversation – and her energy seemed to give “undisturbed by the disturbed”.
“I think they also forget that I live in HOUSTON TEXAS and sweat!!! As soon as we come out for pics. But they can keep complaining idc idc idc,” Simone replied to a tweet defending her .

What we know about Simone Biles’ upcoming wedding ceremony
As mentioned, just a few days ago, Biles and Owens tied the knot in a courthouse, with Judge Jay Karahan presiding over the ceremony.
However, Biles told fans on Insta-Story that the courthouse wedding was a mandatory step for their destination wedding. Although she didn’t reveal a location or date, Simone said the ceremony would take place in a few weeks with between 135 and 140 guests.
Like their first wedding and engagement shoot, the destination ceremony will feature neutral colors, including champagne, gold and white decor.
Now the married couple are “just waiting for a few passports.”
On April 14, Biles shared a photo featuring Owens and their Texas marriage license to her Instagram feed.
Over the weekend, she and Jonathan appeared in photos posted with smiles and laughs plastered in pictures. Taken to the courthouse, the newlyweds were dressed in semi-traditional wedding attire.
Simone wore a white tiered dress with a v-neckline and low back. The hair that caused all the online chatter has been styled in a high ponytail. She accessorized with white heels and a small necklace, and diamond earrings.
Jonathan wore a tan-colored suit paired with white leather loafers and a new braid.
Simone and Jonathan shared posts from their wedding days on their respective accounts, with Biles writing, “never had love so deep” in a caption.
Meanwhile, Jonathan wrote, “my forever person” in his share of the wedding photos.
And within a year of Jonathan Owens’ proposal…
Owens proposed to Simone on Valentine’s Day last year. The next day, the athlete shared her engagement photos. She captioned them, “I can’t wait to spend forever and ever with you, you are everything I dreamed of and more.”
Back in November, Biles shared engagement photos with a white t-shirt, faded jeans and white sneakers theme.
Earlier this month, Biles shared a video of her white-themed outdoor bridal shower decor.
