‘RHOBH’ Alum Says Kyle Richards Pushes Drama Behind The Scenes
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Brandi Glanvilleoffered a look at the series’ only remaining OG, Kyle Richardsand his included role on the Bravo show, on the March 27 episode of the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast with David Yontef.
Brandi Glanville explained that Kyle is the driving force behind the show, but added that she was getting banged along the way.
“by Kyle kind of in the middle, making sure there’s a story and she gets a lot of fucking hate for it,” she said. “But she does her job. And Kyle and I’m good. Like we text all the time and she hates hate.
Brandy pointed out that Kyle Richards pushing conversations within the band is why the show is a hit.
Brandy noted – “So I feel like she kinda drives the ship.”
Kyle Richards was regularly hit with fan backlash for frequently inserting herself into the cast drama. In Season 1, she revealed her sister, Kim Richard’s alcoholism during a heated argument in front of the camera.
During the last season, Kyle Richards was criticized for laughing Erika Jayne curse at Garcelle Beauvais’ teenage son. She was also torn by fans for being questioned while drunk At Sutton Stracke claims she had miscarriages.
Brandy claimed the show needed Kyle into the mix to stir up the drama.
“We need her to do this to do the show,” the reality star said. “I mean, she’s the OG. I feel like she holds her ground on the show and when something doesn’t happen she feels responsible because she wants to give a good show. So she’ll say, you know, she’ll be in trouble making sure these conversations between people happen.
Brandy added that Kyle does not handle negative feedback well.
“She has so much hate” Brandy noted. “She can’t handle it very well but I know what she’s doing because I’m looking at it from a different perspective. She initiates the conversation and then she lets them do their thing.
Brandy revealed that she sometimes texts Kyle while she watches the show.
“And she’s like, … ‘I can’t watch social media.’ This really breaks my heart. [She’s] get more hate than I’ve ever had. And I’m like, yeah girl, but guess what? You made the show for all of us to watch” Brandy share.
Brandy explained that Kyle is also “very anxious,” adding that season 12 was particularly difficult for the Bravo veteran. The fans know it Kyle ran into her sister, Kathy Hiltonwhich led to a rift that remains unresolved.
Kyle Richards appeared on the, Two Tees in a Pod podcast in October, telling fans that the complicated sibling dynamic was being kept under wraps.
“You can’t understand the family dynamic”, Kyle says host and friend, Teddi Mellencamp. “You may think you’re doing it because you’ve watched the show, you have no idea what’s going on behind closed doors. You have no idea the story.
“So if I have to have people hating me for thinking a certain thing, I’ll take it. I’d rather have people who don’t know me think I’m a jerk than deal with more issues with my own blood when speaking out,” she added.
Kyle revealed that she received so much vitriol from fans after being questioned At Sutton’s miscarriage story that she stopped watching the show for over a month.
In September, Kyle appeared on “Watch What Happens Live”, and host, Andy Cohenstressed that his involvement with sutton And Diana’s an intimate discussion about miscarriages did not “land” with viewers.
“I wish I could change a lot of things about that night,” Kyle admitted. “It was so bad. And watching it made me so anxious that I couldn’t watch the show for about five episodes after that because my anxiety was so high.
