Gwyneth Paltrow is happy with the result and grateful to the judges after winning her skiing event in Utah.
“I felt that acquiescing to a false assertion compromised my integrity,” the 50-year-old actress wrote on a white background on her Instagram Story on Thursday.
“I am pleased with the outcome and appreciate all of Judge Holmberg’s and the jury’s hard work, and thank them for their attention in handling this case,” she added.
Nearly an hour earlier, a jury ruled retired doctor Terry Sanderson was ‘100%’ responsible for their 2016 skiing accident, despite suing the ‘Iron Man’ actress for 300,000 $.
After less than three hours of deliberation, the verdict was read aloud in court, with Paltrow cracking a slight smile upon hearing the news.
As she left the court, the actress reportedly whispered to Sanderson, “I wish you well,” to which he replied, “Thank you, darling.”
Meanwhile, Sanderson told ‘Extra’ he was “very disappointed” with the outcome.
“You get some supposed credibility by being a famous person… Who wants to go against a celebrity? No wonder I hesitated,” he said.
“He’s tough. Who wants to make someone who learns lines, learns to play someone else’s role and be believable, believable, win awards? Who wants to go that route? He asked.

The decision comes four years after the doctor accused Paltrow of leaving him with a traumatic brain injury, broken ribs and loss of enjoyment of life after hitting him while skiing at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah.
He also claimed that after hitting him on the slopes, Paltrow simply “got up, turned around and skied” – which she denied.
Paltrow later countersued Sanderson for a “token” $1 in damages plus his attorneys’ fees, claiming he had in fact punched her.
The high-profile trial turned out to be quite entertaining, with Paltrow making headlines for a series of amusing quotes.
When asked how the accident impacted the actress, she replied bluntly, “Well, I lost half a day of skiing.”
And at another point, Paltrow had to awkwardly apologize to the doctor for using profanity.
“I apologize for my bad language,” she told the court. “[That] is not my custom.
